Dr. Natalie Griffin is a graduate of Auburn University and Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and practiced veterinary medicine for 14 years before coming to Strawbridge Animal Care. Dr. Griffin is experienced in both large and small animal health care as well as emergency and shelter medicine. Dr. Griffin is active in local community animal services and serves on the board of directors for both the Virginia Beach SPCA and Animal Welfare for the City of Virginia Beach, as well as being a member of the South Hampton Roads Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Griffin credits her love of animals to her early pony club years when she rode horses competitively in shows and events. Those experiences set her vision and vocational dream in place as she moved on to college and career preparation.
Dr. Griffin is a mother of three boys and the wife of a 13-year career United States Coast Guard officer. In addition to her busy professional life, Dr. Griffin enjoys supporting her sons in sports and Boy Scout activities. Her family shares their home with an 11-year-old Basset Hound, their 7-year-old French Bulldog, June Bug, and Buzz, the Guinea Pig.
